Web page update:
There is a general overhaul in progress for the entire Internet2 site, which is planned to go live during the August/September time frame. There is a separate effort to redesign the middleware part of the Internet2 site. That will include separate pages for VidMid-VC and VidMid-VoD. Preview pages will be made available to the list for feedback.

Workshop update: Mairéad is working on the invitations. She is also working on a web page that will have all the pertinent details for the workshop.

The July/August edition of DLib Magazine has published an article about our Federated DRM project. The article is titled: Federated Digital Rights Management A Proposed DRM Solution for Research and Education by Mairéad Martin, David L. Kuhlman, John H. McNair, William A. Rhodes, and Ron Tipton, University of Tennessee, and Grace Agnew, Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. The article can be accessed at: http://www.dlib.org/dlib/july02/martin/07martin.html . Anne mentioned that a link to the FDRM article is on the NMI-EDIT site http://www.nmi-edit.org/ . William announced that an FDRM demo would be previewed at the workshop. It . The presentation will be primarily a talk with animation and discuss how the pieces of DRM fit together and include some state passing to represent what FDRM does. He will be looking for feedback from participants regarding their specific needs for FDRM. He is also working on prototype with a java interface that will try to utilize Shibboleth. This will be covered in more detail at the workshop.
