*Action Items*
(revised)

New: [AI] {Jill} will address the group with a last call for comments on the draft documents so that they can be moved to final. In addition, she'll send a wrap-up summary to the list.

[AI] {Sympa developers} will incorporate Shibboleth-enabled patch in their next release and {Craig} will update the Sympa RPM with the patch, once it is available.

Carry Over:

[AI] {Craig} will make source RPM available for Sympa on Fedora Core.

[AI] {Craig} will send Steve text to add to the web page noting assumptions in RPMs and tested platforms.

[AI] {George} will draft a paragraph describing a proposed survey of work collaboration tools currently used in the Internet2 community, with a focus on middleware-enabling them. {George} will send this description to others interested in developing the survey and find out if the Wednesday conference call time is a good time for them to meet.

*Discussion*

Intellectual Property Reminder:
The Internet2 intellectual property policy can be found here: http://members.internet2.edu/intellectualproperty.html

Minutes from the prior meeting were approved. The group reviewed action items. Jill noted that action items associate with the group's original charter have been completed. Craig reminded the group that actions are not complete until Sympa includes Shibboleth support in the full release, due for their next release cycle. The remaining action items have to do with the RPM and documentation or issues not directly related to the original objectives. The group will go forward with a new charter or else fold, if the pending request to re-charter is not approved by MACE.

If the group folds, the mailing list will still be active and the website will still be available, but the regular biweekly conference calls will suspend. In regards to the proposed new charter, Jill reported that it is on the MACE agenda but they have not yet discussed it.

Wrap-up issues were discussed. The carry-over RPM action items will be completed soon. [AI] A new action item was added for {Sympa developers} to incorporate a Shibboleth-enabled patch in their next release, and for {Craig} to update the Sympa RPM with the patch, once it is available. Ongoing RPM maintenance issues can be handled on the mailing list. Possibly, this activity will transfer to the Sympa developers.

If the group folds, conference calls may be scheduled on an as-needed basis. Currently, one more call will take place. The call is tentatively scheduled for 4-January-06, if the MACE decision on the charter has been given and if the release date has been scheduled for a Shibboleth-enabled version of Sympa. The 4-Jan call will be confirmed or cancelled with a message to the list on 2-Jan.

[AI] {Jill} will address the group with a last call for comments on the draft documents, so that they can be moved to final on 4-Jan. In addition, she'll send a wrap-up summary to the list.

Jill stated that she has enjoyed being the chair of group and believes it's going to make a difference in the world of Internet2. Steve thanked Jill for a fabulous job chairing and also thanked all who helped. The group has been very productive.

The 21-Dec-05 call has been cancelled. The next call is tentatively scheduled for 4-Jan-06, with confirmation on 2-Jan. Agenda and bridge will be sent to the list at that time.
