*Discussion*
Another scenario will be developed based around the National Electronic Disease
Surveillance System (NEDSS). The vision of NEDSS is to have integrated systems
that can transfer appropriate public health, laboratory, and clinical data efficiently
and securely over the Internet to help improve the ability to identify and track
infectious diseases outbreaks and monitor disease trends. The scenario will
likely incorporate different levels of local health office reporting to state,
to regional offices, to federal offices and how it would be handled. A draft
of the scenario will be distributed to the list once it is ready.
The latest update to the requirements for the scenarios is available on the MedMid web page at: http://middleware.internet2.edu/medmid/draft-internet2-medmid-workplan-scenarios-latest.htm. The requirements are highlighted in blue starting at section 2.1.4 Alternate format. In some browsers the text may not show as blue. In that case look for identifier REQ[] with a number in the brackets.
*Fall member meeting update*.

The final scheduling has not yet been set. A call will be scheduled shortly
to go over the session and finalize the schedule.
The remainder of the call was devoted to working on the requirements for the scenarios.
The next call is Thursday September 5, 2002.
