Internet2-MI
Mailing Lists
The Internet2 Middleware Initiative has recently launched two new mailing lists: mw-announce and mw-discuss.
- mw-announce
communicates items of broad interest, such as pointers to new
standards or discussion lists, major updates to widely-used middleware tools,
and information about white papers and best-practices documents. Posting to
mw-announce is done by Internet2 staff; to have an item considered for posting, send it to
mw-announce-submit@internet2.edu.
- mw-discuss is for exchange of information and
approaches to common middleware topics. Typical postings might include requests for modules or plug-ins,
exploration of higher education adaptation issues for commercial packages,
and discussions about middleware tools. mw-discuss is not intended to be the location for extended
technical discussions; these discussions take place on I2-MI working group lists (see below).
Subscription to mw-announce and mw-discuss
is not automatic; to subscribe, send email to Internet2
Middleware Program Coordinator Lisa
Hogeboom. To unsubscribe, send email to sympa@internet2.edu,
with the message body:
unsubscribe <list name>
Many I2-MI working groups have their own mailing lists, some of which have been active for many months. Subscription and unsubscription procedures for these lists vary; for details, follow the links on the I2-MI home page to the appropriate working group page.
