*Discussion*
Eric made a pitch for greater involvement in the Identity Commons (http://wiki.idcommons.net/moin.cgi/PurposeAndPrinciples) by higher education in general and TAG in particular. Identity Commons is currently focused on OpenID and CardSpace; there was general agreement that we should at least track their work more closely.

The group discussed issues with Apple PKI. In addition to Apple-specific issues like having to install certs manually and how Apple intends to address CardSpace, there is the problem of how to get other vendors (e.g. Cisco, Aladdin) to provide code for Apple and other non-Windows platforms. Eric noted that OpenSC (http://www.opensc-project.org/) produces code that will work on most platforms, including Apple. Shawn Geddis of Apple has agreed to make a guest appearance on a TAG call, but this has not yet been scheduled.

[AI] Eric will send out some references on open-source CardSpace options.
