2. EMail DIagnostics
A discussion was led on the identification of types of diagnostic data that would be useful for the email diagnostician. The data types are as follows,
- top talkers
- servers
- clients
- owners of clients
- classic log errors, i.e. smtp, sendmail, cyrus, pop, client, etc.
- indirect errors such as network problems
- sharing reports with on-campus departments about their member usage
- end users
- where am I relative from the perspective of other users usage (anonymized identiy)
- How much spam do i get relative to other users
- How much spam do i get
3. Abeline and Security Diagnostics
A discussion was led on using Abeline data to feed researchers in the security diagnostic domain. The topic that were discusses are as follows,
- Anonymization of the data rearchers use at this time/li>
- Who uses the data now
- Multicast anonymization
- RENISAC and their presination of data
- Matt will produce an outline on the above topics by next meeting
