*Discussion*

{Keith} has made revisions to the eduPerson draft at <http://www.nmi-edit.org/eduPerson/draft-internet2-mace-dir-eduperson-latest.html>. The Group finalized syntactical changes and clarified areas for agreement. [AI] {Keith} will accept changes to the eduPerson draft, and pass over to {SteveO} to put on MACE-Directory site.

{Walter} provide an update on Nexus; he and {Tom} are working on a domain model, and a graphics version was sent to the mailing list. The Group discussed joining the model with words already in use: reflect, join, manage, provision, and deliver. Nexus may be an option for an authoritative registry, though it does not cover all requirements at present – for example, Nexus cannot be used upstream.

The Group reviewed the model to see if all was labeled appropriately/adequately; they also considered situations where the flow was in the reverse direction. The domain model might be based on familiar institutional paths, but this may be limiting. It was also suggested that the provisioning model have accompanying text with further explanation. {Walter and Tom} will continue working on the domain model. A suggestion was made that a generic provisioning document could be quite useful, in addition to Nexus specific material.

The Group will review guidelines on attributes for the InCommon Federation <http://www.incommonfederation.org/> on the next call.

The next MACE-Dir call will be held on Monday, February 13, 2006 at 4:30pm ET.
