Carry-over *Action Items*
[AI] {Bob} will email the {MACE-Dir} list with a few sentences on “groups of service providers” in the material on eduPersonTargetedID. (10-Oct-05)

[AI] {Walter} will send his requirements and scenario documents from U. Memphis. (10-Oct-05)

[AI] {SteveO and Brendan} will work offline to get the latest revs of the Higher Education Person draft posted to the WG website.

*Discussion*
{Keith} reviewed the latest revision to the eduPerson spec, which he had detailed in a thread to the WG list prior to the call. {Scott} raised the question of whether and how to tie the material to SAML – if concepts are clearly mapped, there may not be a need to strictly follow the vocabulary used for Identity Providers and Service Providers, etc. Definitions should be unique. The Group discussed various details regarding syntax within the document. A few loose ends remain; [AI] {Keith} will incorporate changes into the eduPerson spec and send to {Bob}, who will forward the draft to the MACE WG and bring comments back to MACE-Dir for approval.

{Walter} updated the Group on his work with Nexus at U. Memphis. There is a small amount of work to be done before he sends his requirements and scenarios to the list.  He expects to receive feedback from individuals looking at the MCE directory. One of the next steps is to look for early adopters, but first they will look at requirements and code.

{Brendan} has been working with {Peter Gietz} on the HEP version 6 <http://isd.usc.edu/~bbellina/docs/papers/HEP/draft/draft-internet2-mace-dir-higher-ed-person-analysis-06.doc>. This latest version references SCHAC <http://www.terena.nl/tech/task-forces/tf-emc2/schac.html>. [AI] {Brendan} will ping {Peter Gietz} about sending the new version of the HEP revision 6 to SCHAC. Section 4.4, 6.6.1 and 7 were visited to make sure the wording was acceptable and agreed upon by all. [AI] {Group} will send feedback to {Brendan} for incorporation into the HEP rev 6.

The next MACE-Dir conference call will be held on December 5, 2005 at 4:30pm ET.
