*Recent Meetings*

- InCommon-Future

The recent meeting in Oakland CA was productive, and the group very engaged -- looking at future opportunities and direction for InCommon over the next few years. A draft recommendations document is expected before the Spring I2MM, for review at the meeting. There will be revisions incorporating feedback received, leading to a presentation to the board in June. More to come on this as it develops.

There was a small DKIM session at the meeting. There was discussion about ISOC trust and identity activities. A brief document outlining a plan for future activities in this space will be forthcoming.

Leif reviewed some interaction with the CalConnect and XMPP efforts related to technical trust and federated IdM, which will result in a technical draft. A mailing list has been created.

Attribute aggregation and extending federation beyond SSO seem to be emerging as topics.

There has been renewed (narrow) interest in Eduroam in the US. More to come on this as it develops. It may be that growing wireless availability is driving this...

- June 2009 CAMP & Advanced CAMP

June 15-19, 2009, location TBD

Program committees for both are under way, final programs are due 10-April. "Building blocks of access management" will be the topic for CAMP, including entry level and pragmatic guidance, case studies, requirements, patterns for analysis, and implementation considerations.

Advanced CAMP will follow, and "identity summit" (e.g. the integration of identity models between social networking sites and the campus) will be the topic. Working with the open source community us emerging as a sub-theme. The program committee is under way, and Kuali (Rice/KIM) and JA-SIG are represented. ISOC will be sponsoring the reception.

- Internet2 strategic planning, MACE/I2MI program

The I2MI review document was presented to AMSAC last week. They will review it, after which it will be updated to incorporate their feedback and passed along to the SPEC with recommendations for action.

- USG and Silver followup

There has been discussion about how the InCommon Silver Profile maps to NIST 800-63 LoA2, in the government context. NIH is likely an early adopter of Silver...

- ISOC, Liberty/NewOrg, interfed

There have been discussions about REFEDS and Liberty's role in interfederation going forward. More to come on this as it develops.

- Grid certificates, campus IdPs and LoA

There has been recent discussion about the need for improved identity vetting policies and trust mechanisms within the Grid/TeraGrid and OSG arenas. Leif and Tom are engaged in this. More to come on this as it develops.
