The PKI session was discussed, and an ensuing proposal of USHER offering server certs for inclusion in the major browsers. It was noted that a similar service offering in Europe has been successful in the past, although current status is not clear.
The recent Educause PKI workshop in Madison WI was discussed. David attended, and there were ~50 attendees, and good discussion. Signatures seem to be the consensus potential broad use among higher-ed.

**Discussion**
- Internet2 Strategic Planning
Several MACE members provided feedback at the member meeting. AARNET and GEANT3 are also engaged in their own strategic planning process.
- There has been recent discussion with OOI (formerly known as ORION) as a potential VO that we will be working with under SDCI. More to come as this develops...
http://www.orionprogram.org/OOI/
- COmanage and friends/competitors/alternatives, interop etc.
After the session at the Internet2 Member Meeting, it is clear that there is considerable and growing interest. There will be discussion about the relationship between the overall COmanage GUI and that of the underlying components - Signet, Grouper, etc.
There was discussion about UABGrid and potential similarities in approach, and the fact that underlying data stores are intended to be interchangeable and not a critical factor.
