Ken, ReneeS, and Ann attended. Ann co-chaired the program committee. The workshop was at capacity, and there was good energy and participation. Best practices in IdM and credentialing were common issues of interest to registrars.
The lifecycle of student identity in the higher-ed context is becoming a useful model within which to talk about IdM to the registrar community. Notes from the meeting will be available, and a note will go out to this list when they are ready.

The MACE-Dir working group has submitted a new revision of the eduPerson (200806) schema for final MACE approval.

- US E-Auth
There are some recent developments that bode well for accelerated movement. More info as it becomes available.
- Federations and Liberty Alliance
The REFEDS steering committee is circulating a proposed charter for a SIG within the Liberty Alliance on interfederation. Healthcare, telecommunications, and the auto industry are potential areas of interest in addition to R&E.
- PerfSonar federated access
Note the recent mail Ken forwarded to the MACE list on this topic, comments welcomed and encouraged. Separating IdM from instrument management is the driver for this discussion.
