*Recent Meetings*

- CSG

Shared (aka "above the campus") services were the theme, which are common among libraries but moving into other areas as well. The next CSG meeting will focus more on this topic, including cloud services. Federation will underlie access, but non-web federation issues remain to be solved.

Topics suggested at the meeting include specific potential services, and a possible standardized template for legal agreements between campuses and service providers. Shared sourcing/specification of tools also arose, e.g. security.

Campuses potentially selling services to other campuses was another topic. An upcoming NSF-sponsored conference on software sustainability was noted for reference.

**Discussion**

- Potential GENI engagement

There are a number of funded activities under way within the GENI program. Network control planes, and controlling network access, are example significant topics of interest for GENI.

There are some potential opportunities to engage with them on how various aspects of federated identity could benefit the project. Securing user consent for using an experimental network is another topic that arose as a potential issue that might need to be addressed.

More to come on this as it develops...

- Liberty / Refeds

There is a potential well qualified leader of this activity identified, details forthcoming as available. Interfederation is becoming a more urgent topic needing attention.

- MACE-paccman (Privilege and Access Management)

This new working group is spinning up to carry on the work, and Tom Dopirak (CMU) has agreed to chair it. The website and wiki will be announced shortly.

- It was noted that Kuali-Rice is exposing its charter for comment, and interested MACE members are encouraged to contact Michael.
