Shibboleth/uPortal, and general IAM, were areas of much attention. Some Kuali board members were in attendance. It was noted that there is not a formal relationship between Kuali Rice and JA-SIG, but rather the principals communicate informally and often.

Clarifying the vision and mission of JA-SIG were also a focus...

Nate attended, and reported that federated identity is gaining significant traction.

There has been renewed (narrow) interest in Eduroam in the US. More to come on this as it develops. It may be that growing wireless availability is driving this...

- June 2009 CAMP & Advanced CAMP

Program committees for both are getting rolling.

"Building blocks of access management" will be the topic for CAMP.

Advanced CAMP will follow, and "identity summit" (e.g. the integration of identity models between social networking sites and the campus) will be the topic. Working with the open source community us emerging as a sub-theme. The program committee is under way, and Kuali (Rice/KIM) and JA-SIG are represented.

- Internet2 strategic planning - MACE/I2MI program

MACE has been invited to continue to contribute to the strategic planning activity, starting with reviewing the draft whitepaper Ken distributed after the last call. Ken will next pass it along to the AMSAC co-chairs for review.

The InCommon Silver profile is being discussed and evaluated in the government context. There may be a meeting of the principals adjacent to the Spring I2MM. More to come on this as it develops.

Early planning is underway for an attribute-focused workshop later this year. More to come on this as it develops.
