2. Reviewing new members issue
The new work arising out of Advance CAMP (new MACE/I2MI working groups? move into existing working groups?), e.g. the work item led by Scott -- Write Developers Guide to Federating Applications -- would probably make sense to spin up a new working group.
[AI] (Scott) will send a note to MACE about potentially spinning up a new working group to address his AdvanceCAMP AI: Write Developers Guide to Federating Applications.
The evolving relationship between Internet2 and InCommon and the new grant funding for science activities were also cited as examples of outside influences that might affect MACE membership.
3. Working with VO's
There are some big NSF projects expressing interest in COmanage, in addition to the ones which are already engaged. More to come on this as it develops...
4. I2/InCommon Update - CEO, Personal certs next steps, ICAM, etc
Dave Lambert (former Georgetown CIO) is the new CEO, based in DC.
Personal certs are being worked on by a subgroup of the TAC, meeting weekly. ETA TBD...
InCommon will be submitting their revised ICAM application soon, and signs are encouraging.
The OpenID community is working on ways to climb the assurance stack.
5. Jasig has proposed a CAMP or Advance CAMP workshop in conjunction with their Spring 2011 meeting, either as a track or as a stand-alone meeting. This is under discussion, more to come as it develops. It was noted that there are other organizations involved in federated identity, and the Jasig meeting might not be attractive to some of them. A decision on this needs to be made very soon, for planning and logistical reasons.
What other options might there be for CAMP or Advance CAMP, aside from identity services? IdM in the academic medical space was cited as one possibility.
Followups from previous CAMPs was also proposed, if there has been enough progress on those items. It was observed that many of the action items arising out of the recent Advance CAMP were around next-gen IdM for campuses.
