**Recent meetings**
- Digital Identity Workshop
September 8-10, 2008, Anaheim, CA
http://public.cxo.com/conferences/index.html?conferenceID=24
RL “Bob” attended. There was a great deal of discussion about IDTBD,
driven primarily by Liberty Alliance folks looking at redefining and
realigning their mission with other IAM activities.
http://www.idtbd.org/
Internet2 has joined the InformationCard Foundation.
http://informationcard.net/
OAuth was also a topic of discussion, as an alternative to WS-Trust for
3-tier systems. SalesForce.com is actively looking at this, and noted
that their SOAP interface gets more use than their browser-based
interface, and they see the need to go beyond username/password and see
OAuth as a potential direction for them.
Covisint also presented. They are moving into healthcare and are
actively working on a large federated healthcare network in Tennessee,
and is exploring similar efforts in other states as well.

Andreas Åkre Solberg (UNINETT/FEIDE) and SimpleSAMLphp received an award

*Discussion*
There have been further discussions with ISOC about cooperating on a
DKIM event at the November IETF meeting.
- KIM (Kuali IdM) discussions
Tom met with project principals recently. Kuali Rice is becoming a
formal resourced project, and KIM is slotted under this. The main goal
is abstracting IdM services from other Kuali projects and providing
interfaces to a common IdM infrastructure to support all of the Kuali
modules. Cornell is planning to deploy Rice and KIM using Shibboleth and
Grouper.
