*Discussion*

VoIP was a major topic at the recent CSG meeting. SIP.edu now has around ten schools participating, using a DoDHE-like directory. In the wider world, standardized SIP is still experimental. Presentations are at http://www.stonesoup.org/Meeting.last.

Upcoming meetings:
- Keith and Tom are planning to go to CAMP Med in February; Michael and Bob may do so. [AI] All will work to bring people from medical schools to CAMP Med. See http://www.educause.edu/camp051.
- Ken is coordinating US participation in EuroCAMP (http://www.terena.nl/tech/eurocamp/). [AI] All who want to go to EuroCAMP will contact Ken.
- [AI] All will send Bob suggested topics for the summer Advanced CAMPs. Steve suggested a focus on integration -- looking at how the various middleware packages can be used to create a complete solution for identity and privilege management.

Bob noted that uPortal representatives have been invited to a Shibboleth development call today to talk about integrating Shibboleth into their work. It's not clear how workable this, or wider Shibboleth/Sakai cooperation, will turn out to be, but there appears to be increasing interest on the Sakai side.

The campus Federal Credential Assessment work is moving forward; the idea is to see if universities can be ranked similarly to other types of institutions. This is being viewed as a good way of establishing a baseline among campuses, and is expected to be useful for InCommon in particular.

Ken has been circulating a draft proposal for work on federations and digital signatures. MACE briefly discussed prospects in this area, and agreed that it's worth pursuing further. Tom noted that there is a good fit with Chicago's plan to make signed transcripts electronically available.

David noted that the HEBCA Policy Authority Board is up and running, chaired by Dartmouth CIO Larry Levine. David is vice-chair; he's working on an analysis of InCommon I&A as compared to the needs of HEBCA and USHER, with hopes of having USHER operational by late February.
