- COmanage is the Collaborative Organization Management Platform intended as a demonstration of the capabilities offered by tying together federated identity management (Shibboleth), groups management (Grouper), and (coming soon) privilege management (Signet) into a cohesive support infrastructure for a variety of collaborative applications.
- eduPerson/eduOrg
(LDAP Directory Schema). The EDUCAUSE/Internet2
eduPerson task force has the mission
of defining an LDAP object class
that includes widely-used person
attributes in higher education.
- Grouper
is an open source toolkit for managing
groups. It is designed to function
as the core element of a common
infrastructure for managing group
information across integrated applications
and repositories.

- Middleware
End-To-End Diagnostics Advisory
Group (MW-E2ED) is developing
a diagnostic tool platform.
- Shibboleth is
developing architectures, policy structures, practical
technologies, and an open source implementation to support
inter-institutional sharing of web resources subject to
access controls.
- Signet is
working on the problem of developing methods for consistent
and cost-effective centralized management of user privileges
across a range of applications
